REOI - Owner’s Engineer for Grenlec’s BESS and Transmission subproject

The Grenada Electricity Services Ltd, (GRENLEC) through the Government of Grenada has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Caribbean Efficient and GreenEnergy Buildings Project (CEGEB)- Part 1.2 (b) and 3.2 (b) (hereafter referred to as “ SubProject”) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for consulting services of an Owner’s Engineer (OE) for construction of the battery energy storage system (BESS) and associated transmission system upgrade at the Maurice Bishop International Airport (MBIA) .

The Sub-Project involves engineering design, procurement and construction of the BESS and associated 33kV transmission lines and substations to support the 15MW solar PV farm to be installed at the MBIA. The OE services are required to provide technical and management support to GRENLEC to ensure the successful delivery of the Sub-Project in a timely and efficient manner while complying with international technical, safety, environmental and social safeguards standards.
